Emma Jayne Gray -Bass Guitar
• Jade, Tom and Emma met in February 2002 when they formed original band LEVIN
• By this point Jade had already won 12 major national talent competitions, appeared in many T.V shows including her own TV show for HTV called ‘Jade's Journey.' She even had the privilege of performing at the Lyceum Theatre, London for HRH Prince Charles 50th Birthday bash! Jade was truly qualified to be Levin's ultimate rock n roll front person!!!
• A great few years followed, touring around the country including Barfly's, the legendary TJ's which led to recording in the famous ‘Rockfield' studios, Monmouth after being spotted and funded by producer Nick Brine and Guigsy (ex bass player from Oasis).
• Jade and Tom's song writing talents paid off in the shape of a publishing contract with ‘Columbia Publishing Wales' and penning the opening track on the debut album for Swiss Pop Idol winner, Carmen Fenk. This was released by Universal and went platinum in a couple of weeks.
• In January 2006 the formidable threesome reformed with other musicians to create covers band ‘Kozmic Drive'. This proved the ultimate apprenticeship as they toured the country once more for 6 months, sometimes performing up to 5 times a week. During this time they expanded their fan base and won over audiences from all walks of life and ages. They continued to write their own material and gained inspiration from people and places they encountered on their travels.
• Jade, Tom and Emma have been compared to many of the greats over the years the most recurring being Dusty Springfield (Jade), Jimi Hendrix (Tom) and Suzi Quatro (Emma) – how's that for the ultimate rock and roll band!
• In November 2007, The Hush was born after their passion for great songs and outstanding talent was spotted by prestigious record producer, remixer and writer Mike Bennett, whose credits include The Fall, Ian Brown, Bob Marley, Wishbone Ash, The Stranglers, amongst many others and along with established engineer Angus Wallace (Prodigy, The Fall) offered to make the ultimate album with them!!
In the summer of 2008, Gareth Dower joined the band as the full time drummer completing the line up. Gareth has had extensive experience of playing in the music industry playing in another band called ‘Air Raid'. The band just missed out on being signed to Parlaphone when after a few problems, the band broke up.
Gareth brings the backbone and feel to this well oiled rock machine.
This, my friends is precisely what we have today – The Ultimate album – An eclectic album that will be in record books in years to come, the kind of album that everyone of all ages has a copy of and chat about down the pub.

The band is ‘The Hush' – The album is ‘US'
Now its time to take the world by Storm…………………………………..
Press Coverage
‘One of the perks of covering the new Welsh music scene just now is the amount of raw talent emerging. I could reel off the names of at least a dozen bands currently unsigned who should have a deal and so it takes a special talent to make me drop whatever I'm doing to give it my undivided attention. However, Jade Evans (West) is blessed with a voice that could stop a juggernaut on black ice in mid skid, possessing as it does a timbre that brings to mind the great torch singers of old like Dusty Springfield. She fronts a band called ‘Levin' who are currently the subject of some fairly frenzied attention within the industry, particularly around their South Walian stamping ground. Hardly surprising that given the quintet have crossover potential that is awesome and built around the twin disciplines of writing classic songs and performing live shows that shimmer with in and incandescence that is irresistible. '
Steve Rastin – ‘The Bizz', The Journal, 23 rd July 2003
‘You get a feeling sometimes of watching something special in its infancy and that is one band with the breaks will go somewhere'
Glynn Mills – Cunning Stunts Promotions, August 2002
‘Despite the ups and downs of the music industry there is always room for new, fresh and original songs, in fact more so now than ever. Evans and West are extremely talented songsmiths that will be much sought after in the years to some. The release of ‘Something About Me' is a great boost to the music industry in Wales.'
Daffyd Gittins – Director, Columbia Publishing Wales (CPW), June 2004
‘Whilst deriving inspiration from wide and diverse host of genres, The Hush retain a unique style that is both dynamic and exciting. With excellent vocals and a superb musical backdrop, I predict that this band will go far'
Mike Bennett – Record producer, remixer and writer, December 07
I have heard plenty of excellent music in my time and I do play most of the excellence here on PheonixRadioNet.
The other week I had the pleasure of hearing the most awesome CD ever to come through my speakers. The band called ‘The Hush' produced an album called ‘Us'. I sat down and played it, quite a few times since I got it and three times before my show ‘Indie RockFest'.
The mixed instruments of the Harmonica, acoustic Guitar and drums on the first track, ‘Light a Fire' gelled very nicely with the lead vocals.
The vocalist Jade sings with such depth and power that the music, just seems to jump out and grab you.
The third track of the album, The Hush is one of my favourites. It does explain a lot about the bands essence and how the musical journey calls to them.
Every single track on their album has catchy melody, you just can't help but sing and dance to.
Their Album is pure quality in the power of music.
